A keyguard is a sheet of hard plastic with a hole cut out for each button on the screen. It sits on top of the tablet and covers the spaces between the buttons, which makes the screen easier and more accurate to use. For example, the user can rest their hand on it without setting anything off, and is less likely to press the wrong button or two at once.

No, you do not need to own one. Many public libraries, schools, school districts, colleges and makerspaces have 3D printers you can use, often at little or no cost. You can also send the file to a local or online print service. The keyguard prints flat with no supports in PLA, an easy job for any printer, and the download includes a print guide you can pass to whoever prints it.

We do not keep it. Your screenshot is used once, to find the buttons and build your keyguard, and is not retained after processing. It is not saved, shared, or used for analytics or ads. There is no account to create, and the finished keyguard file is kept only for a short time so you can download it. The privacy policy has the details.

Yes. It is free for personal use and needs no account. Therapists, schools and organisations can make keyguards for the people they support, as long as no one is charged for them.
